How Safe Is It?

Has that thought ever crossed your mind as you stooped to get a drink from a fountain or filled your glass for a drink? Do you go out of your way to find your bottled Evian or do you go and just stick your glass right in Ft. Phantom? Do you even care?
How safe is your drinking water?

 Where does it come from and more importantly, what did it go through before getting to you?

When we began this project, we all had fairly low expectaions for what we'd find in Abilene water.

Jennifer...I had visions of slime and grunge in the pipes and heard many horror stories of lead and aluminum in the drinking water of Abilene.  When I first tasted it, I was not impressed and promptly went out and bought bottled water.

Lyndsey... After a week of Abilene water, I invested in a BRITA water filter. Best purchase I've made since I've been here.

Rachel...I just moved into the dorm and I bought a huge box of bottled water because i would not even think about drinking Abilene water!

Chihiro...I'm from Japan. I was surprised at the smell of water in Abilene when I came here.  I can't drink Abilene water still.
